Abstract

Geometrical optics (GO) analysis of an infinitely extended thick anisotropic slab is presented. At the point where a ray trace in the anisotropic medium is performed, half-space coefficients for an isotropic-anisotropic interface are determined and field contributions from different orders of reflection and refraction are evaluated.
