Abstract
After an introduction to porous media, fracture flow and fractured media, the chapter discusses field characterisation of physical hydrology in terms of laboratory tests, in situ flow tests, instrumentation and geophysical methods. The modelling of physical hydrology is covered through physical models and analogs, graphical and numerical models. The transport hydrology section details laboratory and field tests and outlines modelling techniques. -R.Gower
