Abstract

Learning objective To educate fitness and health professionals about the cardiovascular health benefits of marine-derived omega-3 fatty acids, with discussion of recommended intakes and dietary sources. To explore issues relating to higher intake of marine-derived omega-3 fatty acids, including sustainability, environmental contaminants, and cost benefits.
