Abstract

The paper studies the heat transfer characteristics of fluidized bed coating and presents a simple theoretical relationship between coating thickness on an object and the physical properties of the system, which is easily applied for industrial purposes. The theory of fluidized bed coating was based on a new model and developed using the series-expansion method, found in authors' other papers, in solving the problem of heat conduction with a moving boundary as applied for the coating film. The approximate solution has been compared with the exact, numerical solution and experimental data given in the literature, and the agreement is good.
