Abstract
The existence of the photovoltaic effect has been confirmed in 0.895PbTiO3舑0.105La(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3solid solution ceramics with and without MnO2doping. The electrode-configuration dependence, illumination response and aging effect of the photovoltaic current or voltage have been investigated in the two specimens. With 1.5 mol% MnO2doping, the photocurrent decreases and the photovoltage increases by an order of magnitude each. The relation between the dark and the photo-induced conductivities is also discussed briefly in this report.
