Abstract

A constant-temperature hot-wire anemometry technique is being developed for the simultaneous measurements of velocity and temperature in nonisothermal turbulent flows. A test is carried out in order to check the validity of the technique. It is seen that the technique is successful at least in the measurement of mean velocity and temperature. A set of experiments and further work needed (in order to fully qualify the new method) have been discussed.
