Abstract
We suggest a quantitative description of high energy lepton (hadron) scattering off nuclei in the region kinematically forbidden for scattering off a free nucleon. Experimental data on the reaction p(π) + A → p + X support our approach and indicate also that the deuteron and the nuclear two nucleon correlation functions are proportional.
