Abstract
A study was carried out to develop a hydrogen spillover that provides a mechanistic understanding of both the kinetics and the resulting surface concentration ascribed to hydrogen spillover. Successful development of a model for hydrogen spillover would lead to a better design of hydrogen storage materials and provide insight into the field of heterogeneous catalysis. The model was discussed in the context of understanding recent experimental results in hydrogen storage of doped carbon nanomaterials. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 229th ACS National Meeting (San Diego, CA 3/13-17/2005).
