Abstract

A system-level imaging performance analysis of the FOPEN ultra-wideband (UWB) random noise radar (RNR) was presented. A frequency-domain imaging model was used for performance analysis. Test results showed that for a UWB RNR it was possible to obtain synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images with adequate number of integration of the target returns.
