Abstract

Following transplantation of marrow, several problems are frequently observed clinically. Two such problems are an increased risk of infection due to an acquired immunodeficiency and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). In addition, there is some evidence to suggest that the degree of posttransplant immunodeficiency is increased in the presence of graft-versus-host disease. The present studies are designed to evaluate some aspects of the posttransplant immunodeficiency.
