Abstract
In this review, the authors recount some important factors of the past decade that have stimulated interest in immunologic lung disease, use several examples of common lung diseases to illustrate current concepts about immunity in the respiratory tract, and comment on some new tests that purport to help with diagnosis or in monitoring the patient with an immunologic lung disease.
