Abstract
An empirical study has been conducted to assess the level of importance placed on the key TQM program components during the implementation of the TQM programs and the effectiveness of those TQM programs as perceived by the individuals responsible for the implementation and management of TQM programs in small business organizations. A statistical relationship between the perceived effectiveness of TQM programs and the perceived importance of each of the components was also determined. A questionnaire was mailed to 135 selected small business organizations. Lastly, gathered data were statistically analyzed.
