Abstract
This paper describes the implementation of an instructional model for developing teamwork, group dynamics, and collaborative problem-solving skills of engineering technology (ET) students in the two-year associate degree program at the Pennsylvania State University-Altoona campus. Strategies for effective team building and the processes and procedures for teamwork are detailed. Measures used to encourage team cohesiveness and performance are presented. Finally, implementation results of this instructional approach are described.
