N2 - The Lexan T-shaped beam structure has been analyzed extensively. Initial power flow studies on the T-beam included measuring, using separate gauge and accelerometer signals, and predicting, using finite elements, the power input spectrum due to transverse drive at the end of one leg. Several discrepancies between measurements and predictions have been found and corrected. The original measured power input spectrum had significant errors likely produced by errors in measured phase between force and acceleration. New measurements using a PCB model 288C01 impedance head have eliminated these errors. Predictions made with models including drive point mass loading compare extremely well with the new measurements.
