Improved joint source-channel decoding for variable-length encoded data using soft decisions and MMSE estimation

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

Improved joint source-channel (JSC) methods were developed to decode variable length encoded data based on residual source redundancy. The methods were tested for DPCM transmission of the 256 × 256 Lenna image.
