Abstract

Methods for ranking geostatistical reservoir models can be classified into three categories. The first category includes statistical methods such as simple statistics, 3D measures of connectivity and connectivity to specific well locations. Methods belonging to the second class are based on approximations to flow simulation or random walk-type results. The third category is made up of tracer simulation and flow simulation with coarsened models.
