Abstract

The relative role of RCA and WBC adhesion, fibrinogen was infused into the circulation and WBC margination and adhesion measured at various shear rates in mesentric venules of rat. WBC margination was measured as the percentage of total WBC volume flux at the venular wall (FWBC). Results suggest that fibrinogen is an important determinant of WBC-EC adhesion.
