abstract = "The effect of the composition of two petrographically distinct sorbents on the attrition properties in a circulating fluidized bed boiler was analyzed. The attrition products were analyzed to determine the extent of calcination and sulfation. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examinations show that the sorbent properties controlled the particle size of the attrition products. It was found that then sorbents exhibited a natural grain size of attrition products.",
