Influence of Surface Roughness on Photostriction

Abstract

A theoretical model was proposed to explain the dependence of surface roughness on photostrictive response. The model showed good agreement with the experimental results which reiterated the importance of surface characteristics in fabricating the high performance photostrictive actuators.
