Abstract
We study the tunability of the effective refractive index in nanosphere dispersed liquid crystal (NDLC) metamaterial by means of the filling factor and size ratio of coated spheres. We show that small variations of those parameters lead to strong changes in the optical properties (effective refractive index) of NDLC.
