Abstract

The transition from the single tracked curriculum into a program with three separate academic options was discussed. The options includes structural design, construction management and general engineering. The structural design and construction engineering technology (SDCET) is accrediated by the the Technology Accrediation Commission of the Accrediation Board of Engineering and Technology. The program curriculum provides the student with education in both structural and construction principles and estimating and scheduling techniques, aspects of construction management, design principles in steel and concrete.
