N2 - The integral form of the equation of radiative transfer is developed for an absorbing, emitting, gray, isotropically scattering, inhomogeneous, solid cylinder with internal energy sources, subjected to externally incident radiation, and having both specular and diffuse reflection at the boundary surface. Under this transformation, the number of independent variables is reduced from three to one, thus enhancing the possibility of obtaining the solution of the original problem more efficiently and more accurately.
