Abstract
The concept of integrated design, which constitute the design ideas and methods that cut across most fields of engineering, was discussed. Prestige is designed to prepare students to work in the global economy by developing learning opportunities in global product design such as: web resources, virtual, cross-sectional, design teams, and global internship experiences in projects and industries The Prestige typology offers some guidance for structuring design knowledge in the curriculum as well as showing the need for that knowledge. Assessment of design education programs must take into account how well the objectives are achieved in the context of each particular engineering school and its distinctive nature in the national and international scene.
