Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution is represented by technological advancements that can be noticed in almost every sphere of our daily lives. Integrating these technological advancements with the phenomena of the circular economy not only contributes to the global sustainable development goals but also presents a regenerative approach, a sustainable approach as compared to the traditional linear "take make dispose"method. The application of IoT for promoting the phenomena of circular economy possesses the potential of transforming entire industries thereby increasing overall sustainability and promoting responsible resource management paving the way for more ecofriendly practices. This study provides a detailed overview of different applications of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology for promoting the phenomena of circular economy to deliver sustainable resource management. The transformative impact of circular economy and IoT convergence provides transparency and quality control for better consumer engagement and insights.
