Abstract

The design of an internship program for the Bachelor of Science program in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSEMET) students is discussed. Students are required to spend their first year in BSEMET program cross training in their alternate discipline. The senior year is expected to be spent in learning specialized technical knowledge in selected areas of engineering technology related to the electro-mechanical discipline. The proposed program emphasizes a breadth of knowledge in all fields of engineering technology related to typical manufacturing, production, and assembly plant process.
