Abstract
Switching forms an essential component of communication services such as the public switched telephone network (PSTN) and the Internet. The Internet supports many applications, making the Internet Protocol (IP) an important protocol. IP is currently being used as a platform for voice, video and data applications. This paper addresses introducing IP switching in engineering and engineering technology curricula.
