Jitter Modeling for High-Speed Interconnects Using Segment-Based Statistical Analysis for PAM4 Signaling Scheme

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

This paper highlights jitter modeling using a segment-based link analysis algorithm for PAM4. The statistically based approach examines the ISI data dependent jitter to predict the system performance. Signal integrity is essential in high-speed data transmission used in consumer electronics. In the link analysis technique, aggregate PDFs are obtained through a series of mean and convolve operations, for both pre- and post-cursor segments. The final voltages are grouped into bins using hashmaps to optimize the calculations and data sizes.
