Abstract

Reflections on the Crerar Library’s deletion of its social science holdings, of working for Telos under Paul Piccone, of becoming editor/publisher of The Journal of the History of Sociology, and editor of two journals owned by the American Sociological Association, Sociological Theory and Contemporary Sociology, over a fifteen year period. Likely prospects for scholarly journals in the future, and the requirements of maintaining them at an optimum level.
