Abstract
In years past, structural evaluations of pavement were made using empirical relationships combined with destructive testing. More recently, these destructive methods have been largely replaced by Non-Destructive test (NDT) methods. In addition, there are established graphical procedures for estimating the stiffness properties of Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA) mixtures. These procedures are used where specific laboratory test results are not available. This paper presents experimental work conducted to investigate the effects of HMA mix parameters on wave propagation and its related parameters.
