Abstract

We propose an algorithm for Lamb-like wave mode selection for NDE of adhesively bonded plates. It is desired to isolate a set of points on the dispersion curve having a wave-structure with peak in the adhesive layer. Lamb-like wave dispersion curves coinciding with interface wave dispersion curves have a property of invariance with respect to increase in the thickness of the adherends. The algorithm is designed assuming the converse to be true. Numerical results are presented.
