Abstract
This three-part final report documents the research program which had two overall objectives, namely providing profile data that can be used to evaluate combustor and fuel combustion models, and evaluating the performance of combustor models and different diagnostic techniques in various combustion environments. The first part describes the technical efforts dealing with the design and development of a two-dimensional laser Doppler anemometer and the experimental data collected. The second part presents the analysis and modeling tasks involving the numerical flowfield predictions and their comparisons with experimental data. The third part discusses the design, development, and performance of a two-channel time-solved laser Raman spectroscopy system.
