Abstract

The study describes the faculty development model at PSU, including detailed descriptions of each workshop segment. The study also discuss several of the guiding philosophies for the workshop, namely, use the workshop as a way to introduce resource. The new faculty workshop stem will help the faculty member to have an opportunity to network in both professional and informal settings with college personnel from many positions and disciplines. The new approach will enable the faculty to learn different strategies for balancing the demands of their careers as well as their careers and personal lives.
