Abstract
"Life" can refer to the capacity for metabolic activity, or to merely animate being, or (in a metaphysical sense) to the capacity for the preservation and enhancement of conditions of existence, or to specifically worldly existence. By "factical life," Heidegger understood the living of life in the (GA61:85/65).
