Abstract
The effects of light (3 GeV) gluinos on the formation of a quark-gluon plasma in relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions are examined. Very light (100 MeV) gluinos can significantly lower the temperature of the plasma and weaken many of the signals usually put forward as indicators of the plasmas formation or properties (i.e., low-energy photons, low-mass lepton pairs, and strange- and charm-particle production).
