Abstract
Previously, C 2 structures have been modeled as interacting automata with feedback control mechanism. A formal control language with its alphabet consisting of controllable and uncontrollable discrete events at the lowest level in the C 2 hierarchy was defined. At the next level of the command, specific patterns of these events are recognized as words. These words, in turn, from the alphabet for higher level formal control language generated by this automation at the next higher level of command. In this connection, this paper formulates the theoretical limits of control in a C 2 system for performing given mission using a selected course of action (COA).
