Abstract
The use of Li-ion batteries for stationary energy storage systems to complement the renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power has recently attracted great interest. Currently available Li-ion battery electrode materials suitable for such stationary applications have been discussed, along with optimum cathode and anode combinations, limitations, and future research directions.
