Abstract
We study the stage dependence of the shift of the adsorption potential for He on the graphite surface due to the intercalation process. For the acceptor compound graphite SbCl5, a maximum reduction in the adsorption potential of 70 meV A 3 is found. Effects on the binding energy are estimated.
