Abstract

A method for economic evaluation of the conversion from conventional to conservation tillage/planting systems is presented. The model accounts for costs of machinery, labor, pesticide, seed, yield differences and soil erosion. Conversion of a continuous corn farm on Michigan soils is presented as a case study.
