Magnetocrystalline anisotropy enhancement via epitaxial growth of Ni/Co/Cu thin films on MgO (001) and (111) substrates

Abstract

The authors report on an investigation of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy in the series of SmFe11-xCoxTiHy single crystals (x=0,1,2,3,4,5,6; 0.56≤y≤0.8). X-ray diffraction performed on the hydrogenated samples showed that all the samples have ThMn12 type structure. The lattice parameters and the unit cell volume were slightly changed in comparison with the host samples. Magnetization isotherms present a FOMP transition in case of low cobalt concentration. Our measurements show that the field of FOMP shifts to the high field range.
