Abstract
Magnetoelectric materials and devices demonstrate enormous potential in the biomedical sector due to their intrinsic ability to couple and manipulate both electric and magnetic signals. Biomedical magnetoelectric devices have been studied for a wide range of applications, including targeted drug delivery, controlled drug release, non-invasive brain imaging, artificial nerve activity stimulation, wireless capsule endoscopies, and wireless energy harvesting and data transferring implantable devices. This chapter summarizes technological advances and breakthroughs in the biomedical applications of magnetoelectric devices and materials.
