Management of the difficult airway

Abstract

The term difficult airway encompasses an extremely large subject area. The purpose of this article is to review, in general terms, the facilities available to the anesthesiologist today for performing difficult intubations in patients in whom an intubation after the induction of anesthesia may be in question.
