Critical care management of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) has seen significant improvements over the last several decades. As technology has improved, increasing volumes of data on patient parameters are now available to the clinician, leading to management questions as to what the optimal parameters should be in order to improve outcomes. These parameters should not be viewed in isolation but should be assessed collectively when treating TBI patients.
