Abstract

Sustainable manufacturing, smart manufacturing, and green manufacturing are some of the contemporary phrases used to promote economic, social, and environmental improvements in the logistics and manufacturing sectors. Text analytic techniques were used to automatically extract, summarize, and cluster keyphrases from thousands of literature articles. We utilize article meta-data and create keyphrase-keyphrase networks to answer which authors, years, and combinations of techniques have prominence. We compare different clusters of the data to explore how these areas overlap and attempt to analyze gaps in the literature. This will be helpful in identifying topics for future research, which will further promote uses of sustainable practices.
