Abstract

A key component to managing a mass casualty incident (MCI) is patient movement and evacuation. Evaluating, planning and effective communication are critical. Determining modes of transportation, traffic flow, and tracking patients are all important factors. It is also imperative to have communication with local healthcare facilities.
