Abstract
The HDS of a blendstock of LCO and refined chemical oil was comparatively investigated over commercial γ-Al2O3 and MCM-41-supported Co-Mo catalysts. The MCM-41-supported catalyst demonstrated activity for the HDS of the refractory dibenzothiophenic sulfur compounds similar to that of the commercial catalyst. The presence of organic nitrogen and aromatics in the blendstock affected the HDS of the substituted dibenzothiophene extensively.
