Abstract

The measurement and cancellation of cold collision frequency shift in 87Rb fountain clock were undertaken. The supercooled atomic gases helped in reducing the linewidths and Doppler shifts. The potential of microwave cavity pulling of atomic transition for cancelling the collision frequency shift was also studied.
