Abstract

The electromagnetically induced tranparency (EIT) in a Doppler broadened molecular cascade system was discussed using fluorescence detection. It was showed that EIT was observable without sub-Doppler resolution using two frequency stabilized tunable lasers in a three-level system. The analysis suggested the use of power-dependent splitting of lines in the upper-level fluorescence excitation spectrum as spectroscopic tool for the measurement of molecular transition dipole moment function.
