Abstract

The mechanical properties of compatible poly(ε‐caprolactone)/poly(styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile) blends were studied for samples prepared from both the melt and solution. The mechanical response was observed to be primarily dependent upon the variation of the glass transition temperature with blend composition. For certain compositions, varying the sample preparation scheme resulted in specimens of different modulus. This behavior was associated with differences in the degree of crystallinity.
