Abstract

As noted in this paper, it can be seen that computers offer many opportunities for time and production savings in a structural engineering office. Microcomputer applications for structural practices are far from limited to just the engineering calculations. Business applications, word processing, data base management, graphics, and calculations are all areas for productive use of microcomputers.
