Abstract
Burrows were located near herbaceous and emergent vegetation in lentic waters. Construction was limited by bank height, slope and soil texture. Nocturnal foraging and movements to and from shelters were the principal activities. Linear home range estimates were 250-400 m. The significance of habitat and density factors with respect to the ecology of muskrats in rivers is discussed.-from Author
